The Articulated Bombardment Vehicle was one of the few Power Functions creations I made that I encased in a shell of regular System elements. The rear drive train assembly ended up being one of my favorites I've ever built, due to its relative compactness and structural robustness.

The idea for the weapon system was that it was a magnetically aimed, long-range artillery gun. The device on the right left side of the vehicle, which had some highly technical acronym I've since forgot, could highly magnetize ferrous objects far off in the distance, such as enemy vehicles, meaning that the gun would always hit its intended target so long as it was aimed to fire in its general direction. I still think it's a cool concept, but obviously magnetism doesn't work quite like that in reality. At least not with current technology.
